RETTC members can apply to join member-exclusive Peer-to-Peer Networking Groups—dynamic groups where professionals across the real estate and technology spectrum come together to collaborate, exchange ideas and accelerate innovation.

Explore the intersection of affordable housing and technology with peers focused on this evolving space. Engage on how digital tools and data can improve housing affordability, streamline compliance, and enhance operations. Share practical solutions, navigate regulatory complexity, and collaborate on ways to modernize a critical segment of the housing ecosystem.

Digital Marketing (for Rental Housing Providers)
Join hands-on marketing leaders at rental housing firms focused on executing and optimizing digital strategy. This group dives into the day-to-day mechanics of digital performance, including online demand generation, paid media, search, social, reputation management, and the tools and tactics that drive prospect acquisition and leasing outcomes. Designed for professionals 40 and under, this group is for innovators and rising stars to exchange insights, expand networks, and support each other’s growth in a low-pressure, high-energy environment focused on professional development and long-term relationship building.

RiskTech
Navigate existing and emerging risks to rental housing by leveraging RiskTech, while also addressing the risks introduced by technology itself. Working in coordination with NMHC’s Risk Management Committee, this group promotes collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional growth to help members stay ahead of an increasingly complex risk landscape.

Small/Mid-Sized Operators (for housing providers) (new)
Connect with peers from small and mid-sized housing providers (<10,000 units) to share practical approaches to scaling operations, adopting technology, and improving resident experience. Learn how others are navigating growth, managing lean teams, and competing in an evolving market.

Student Housing Tech (new)
Engage with professionals focused on student housing and the technologies shaping the space. Explore strategies to improve occupancy, streamline operations, and enhance the resident experience. Exchange ideas on managing seasonality, marketing to student audiences, and operating in a highly competitive environment.

RETTC Community Exploratory Working Groups

Help define what’s next for the RETTC Community by participating in a short-term exploratory working group. Work with peers to assess emerging areas in real estate technology, map trends and key players, and evaluate whether deeper RETTC engagement is warranted. Each exploratory working group proposal will be shared with RETTC leadership and the Steering Committee at OPTECH 2026.

ClimateTech
Examine the growing impact of ClimateTech on real estate strategy, operations, and resiliency. Explore how owners and operators are addressing energy use, environmental performance, and a changing climate. Assess where the space is evolving, innovations are making a difference, and where RETTC could engage to support housing operators and tech partners.

ConstructionTech/DevTech
Assess how technology is transforming development and construction, leading to improved housing affordability and expanded housing supply. Explore advancements in project management, cost control, and data-driven decision-making. Evaluate where innovation is gaining traction and where RETTC could engage to support housing operators and tech partners.

FinTech
Explore how financial technology is evolving to improve the resident experience and financial outcomes of America’s renters, while reshaping the flow of money and investment across the rental housing ecosystem.
