The Real Estate Technology & Transformation Center (RETTC) submitted a letter to the Seattle City Council expressing concerns about rental fee ordinance #126053 under consideration by the Council. RETTC supports the goal of improving price transparency for renters but urged policymakers to distinguish between unfair or undisclosed mandatory charges and reasonable cost recovery for optional services, resident-selected conveniences, and costs associated with resident noncompliance.
